Bracken with Blues and Greens (2022) Sarah Macdonald

Description

The colour of the shiny bronze bracken against the haze of the turquoise sea / sky moved me to create this oil painting. St Michael’s Mount features sat centred on a horizon made from the corresponding land of Mounts Bay. The Mount features without dominating. Playful mark making of the bracken gives life, as does the white butterfly, a detail that was later added helping confirm the playful movement and life giving force of the bracken foreground.

• Materials - Oil on stretched canvas framed in a solid wood (Floater style) frame painted in white satin (mid sheen)
• Dimensions - 70cm x 70cm (canvas size), 75cm x 75cm x 5.5cm depth (frame size)
• All paintings come with a certificate of ownership and an insurance valuation letter. It has also been known for a working sketch or photo, that relates to that particular painting, to be included in the sale.

Delivery / Shipping

Paintings can be delivered in the West Penwith area, or collected from Wild West Works in St. Just.

For everywhere else in the UK Parcelforce Express 24 is used with the appropriate cover. Communication is key when a painting is in transit, Sarah will keep you up-to-date so that you know when the painting is due to arrive.
