Description

I rose to the challenge - to express through light and colour the importance and permanency of this prehistoric burial site know as Ballowall Barrow, named after a Victorian antiquarian..

I have named the painting Gluze Krug - what I think to be a more fitting name for such an ancient monument. Gluze (or Gloose) being the location and Krug meaning mound in Cornish.

The bright colours aid the sense of a blinding light that refers to a spiritual space and the contrast of dark rocks and earth make work of shadows.. all metaphors for life and death..

• Materials - Oil on stretched canvas framed in a solid wood (Floater style) frame painted in white satin (mid sheen)
• Dimensions - 70cm x 70cm (canvas size), 75cm x 75cm x 5.5cm depth (frame size)
• All paintings come with a certificate of ownership and an insurance valuation letter. It has also been known for a working sketch or photo, that relates to that particular painting, to be included in the sale.

Delivery / Shipping

Paintings can be delivered in the West Penwith area, or collected from Wild West Works in St. Just.

For everywhere else in the UK Parcelforce Express 24 is used with the appropriate cover. Communication is key when a painting is in transit, Sarah will keep you up-to-date so that you know when the painting is due to arrive.
