Chûn Quoit, the only intact quoit in Penwith, is thought by some to be strategically positioned to harness and concentrate the earth's energy, capable of recharging objects placed within its sturdy structure. In this artwork, Sarah employs a striking interplay of "fat" and "thin" painting techniques to explore the differentiation of energy. The inky shadows of the quoit evoke dense, concentrated energy ("fat"), while the surrounding landscape is minimal, and reflects the lighter, exposed nature of the parched terrain ("thin"). Using a playful combination of acrylics and ink, Sarah encapsulates the enduring essence and enigmatic energy of this ancient monument.

Materials - Acrylic base mediums with Ink on Canvas framed in a solid wood (Floater style) frame painted in white satin (mid sheen)
Dimensions - 75cm x 59.5cm (canvas size), 79cm x 64cm x 5.5cm depth (frame size)
All paintings come with a certificate of ownership and an insurance valuation letter. It has also been known for a working sketch or photo, that relates to that particular painting, to be included in the sale.
Delivery / Shipping
Paintings can be delivered in the West Penwith area, or collected from Wild West Works in St. Just.
For everywhere else in the UK Parcelforce Express 24 is used with the appropriate cover. Communication is key when a painting is in transit, Sarah will keep you up-to-date so that you know when the painting is due to arrive.
