Silver Solder (2023)

A square copper panel pinned onto a copper coloured board. The copper is tarnished in places. There is blue with a bit of aqua painted roughly diagonally over the piece.

Crafting "Silver Solder" was a unique challenge. The thick Cornish Copper, possibly native, had a stubborn springiness that required three times the usual tacks to secure. Layering blues and sanding them back revealed the copper's natural beauty, creating a harmonious blend between intentional artistry and the raw allure of the material.
